Review

“When I started reading the Cybersecurity Architect’s Handbook, I thought I would learn a few basic facts about roles and responsibilities. Little did I know that I would be reading one of the most comprehensive guides on becoming a great cybersecurity practitioner. CSA introduces the reader to cybersecurity foundations and then covers governance, stepping stones toward becoming a CSA, and strategies for adapting a security program to ever-changing business goals. My expectations were exceeded when I discovered that this handbook even includes several practical hands-on labs that guide readers through implementing access controls, setting up and configuring a firewall, and applying encryption for data at rest and in transit.

The Cybersecurity Architect’s Handbook is a must-read for anyone aspiring to be an effective cybersecurity professional.”

I liked the books breadth and how it touches on enough to get points across, without harping on specific areas. The areas and sections that are laid out give enough to be conversational. Top notch book for those looking to transition from another field or get more information about what an architect should focus on.

This is genuinely the best book on Cyber out there. As a fellow Cyber Architect I can attest that these are the crucial topics to cover, the depth to cover them at, and key topics I’ve spent years telling people about. Lester has managed to take all of his decades of knowledge on this whole field and condensed it down to the crucial essence anyone entering or moving up in Cyber needs to know.

Cyber Architect Approved.

As someone navigating the intricate world of cybersecurity, I found 'Cybersecurity Architect's Handbook' to be an indispensable companion. What sets this book apart is its ability to seamlessly guide readers from one complex topic to another in an effortlessly digestible manner. I particularly appreciated the insightful chapters on the 'Entry Level to Architect Roadmap' and 'The Certification Dilemma,' as these are often difficult to navigate aspects in our field. The author's clarity and depth of knowledge shine through, making this handbook a must-have for anyone serious about excelling in cybersecurity architecture.
